16th century blindstamped pigskin over boards, red tinted page edges. Italian binding, possibly from Padua, donein German style: repeated three-fold covers, which enclose 2 floral bands. In the central field, a plate-shaped plate embossing with oriental ornamentation. Stamped on the front cover is the monogram "ZPD", the initials of the owner who commissioned the binding, and the date "1592"
